Civil Ceremony

You have decided to get married and have chosen a civil ceremony, but you desire your ceremony to be more than the predetermined and sterile reading of the articles and the marriage act and the subsequent signing.

Instead, you dream of a romantic atmosphere worthy of your love: an elegant setting, perhaps in a garden with a floral arch, an entrance with background music, the first encounter, eyes locked, readings, your promises...

The good news is that due to the increasing demand for civil ceremonies and unions, there is a growing number (but still not enough) of authorized locations, outside the Town Halls, where it is possible to celebrate legally valid ceremonies.

These locations, through regulations, are defined as "Town Hall Houses", and it's important to clarify this condition because often the terms "symbolic ceremony" and "civil ceremony/union" are used interchangeably by many (including owners of the locations). The civil ceremony/union is the conduct of the legal part of the marriage or civil union.

Furthermore, through the delegation granted by the Mayor to the celebrant, he/she can also officiate the civil ceremony/union.

What if the chosen location is not a Town Hall House?

You have two alternatives: request a delegation from the celebrant and perform the ceremony including the civil ceremony/union inside the Town Hall, or you can divide the two parts into different moments, celebrating only the civil ceremony/union at the Town Hall and the romantic part at the chosen location through a symbolic ceremony.
